It all began in 1991 with a plan to keep it simple: one director, one producer, and one secretary.
It stayed that way for a couple of years.
Business grew, so we started adding producers and directors to service advertising agencies and clients spread throughout the Middle East/Gulf, Mena and North Africa, like AdPRO, Brainlake, Chisel, FP7 McCann, Gemasco, Havas, Horizon FCB, ImpactBBDO, ITP, JWT, Leo Burnett, Links Communications, Lotus Conseil, LoweMullen, Memac Ogilvy, Saatchi, Y&R; and clients such as 7UP, Al Futtaim, Al Rabie, Al Rajihi, Amstel, Cadbury, Cevital, Coca Cola, Cosmote, Danone, Dettol, Etisalat, Fadelco, Fanta, Fine, Ford, Johnson Wax, KDD, Kinder, Lever, Mazola, Mobily, Nabisco, Nestle, Nescafe, Ooredoo, P&G, Pepsi, Sprite, STC, Subway, Suzuki, Swarovski, TENA, Toyota, Umnia, Vodafone, Wataniya, Zain, and many more.
In 2005, ABL expanded its operation to Greece, setting up a state of the art post-production facility servicing the Middle East, Greece, and other European market. From VFX, 3D and 2D animation, and motion graphics, this team and its descendants remains one of the best in the region.
In 2019, ABL Films continued its history of bringing cutting-edge filmmaking technology to advertisement by investing in an automated studio specialised for product shooting, with KINISI, a unique motion control robot, at its heart.
With over 30 years in this industry, we have seen many ups and downs. Throughout, we have remained steadfast in implementing our two core values:
Create films that are both artistic and effective.
You don’t have to cross the line between art and commerce.
You just need to move it.
